SOMNATH,located near Veraval in Saurashtra,Gujarat is one of the 12 Jyothirlingam shrines of God Shiva.This temple was destroyed sixteen times  by Muslim invaders. Finally, a plan was mooted by Sardar Vallabhai Patel   & Mr.K.M. Munshi  for restoration of the temple.The temple is situated in such  a place that there is no land in straight line between Somnath sea shore till Antarctica.
