BYLAKUPPE, IN KARNATAKA SECOND LARGEST TIBETAN SETTLEMENT IN THE WORLD OUTSIDE TIBET AFTER DHARAMSHALA.

 Bylakuppe, is located to the west of Mysore district which is 80 kms from Mysore city. In 1960,then Government of Mysore allotted nearly 3000 acres (12 Sq.kms) of land at Bylakuppe. Bylakuppe has number of Monasteries Viz : SERA Monastery,TASHI Lhunpo Monastery and Namdroling Monastery, also known as Golden Temple.
